Ink and Paint Binders

While selecting the proper binder for a water based lamination ink, there are 3 basic factors that have to be taken into consideration:

Compatibility with the pigment paste and the rest of the formulation, to avoid uncontrolled variation in the viscosity or formation of lumps and gels
Good adhesion on the support
Post lamination after printing. With acrylic binders it will be impossible to achieve the same bonding strength, which is a key feature especially in the PVC flooring market. That is why PUD binder is a relevant option.
