VISCOLAM® are synthetic rheology additives that solve most of the technical challenges in production and application.
We provide acrylic based VISCOLAM®, including
- Alkali Swellable Emulsions ( ASE)
- Hydrophobically modified Alkali Swellable Emulsions (HASE)
- Hydro Swelling Droplet (HSD) thickeners

Acrylic Synthetic Thickeners
Emulsion that provides thickening without interacting with other ingredients. Versatile solution, with perfect colour acceptance and rheological behaviour
Emulsion with improved cost/performance ratio, achieved through interaction with other ingredients allowing for dosage reduction.
Emulsifier with high thickening capability. Finds its application in putties and basically where wet-scrub resistance needs to be excellent.
Polyurethane Associative Thickeners
Known as HEUR (Hydrophobically modified Ethoxylated Urethane URethanes) our VISCOLAM® PS products contain several possible non-ionic structures.
Associative polyurethanes provide performances in systems containing hydrophobic binders i.e. for protective coating and enamel paints, or when wash-ability or outdoor resistance are mandatory.
Tailor-made 3D structure allows to achieve rheological profiles that cannot easily, or not at all, be obtained with other technologies.
Their visco-elasticity improves the flowing behaviour making them the key rheological thickener for high quality paints, varnishes, floor coatings, furniture and gloss enamels.
