 ADIWAX DSP

Did you ever face scratch/abrasion resistance problems in your metal coating formulation?

ADIWAX DSP is our range of wax dispersions suitable for coil and can coating applications based on carnauba and polyethylene waxes.

Carnauba wax has a melting point of about 82-86 °C and is one of the highest among natural waxes, higher than beeswax (62-64 °C). Moreover, it is one of the hardest among natural wax and is almost insoluble in water and ethanol.

Polyethylene waxes have melting points of 100-130 °C; they are probably the most popular waxes for surface modification. They are hard and brittle, allowing enhanced surface hardness and surface slip effect.

ADIWAX DSP is the right choice for enhancing the following performance in your coating formulation:
-    Scratch resistance
-    Abrasion resistance
-    Anti blocking effect
-    Coefficient of friction modification
-    Gloss management

ADIWAX DSP range complies with food contact regulations and is suitable for can coating too.

Our range is completed by ADITIX M60. It is a polyethylene wax dispersion in an aromatic solvent that is an antisettling additive that provides excellent stability in highly pigmented formulation for anticorrosive industrial coating applications.

ADITIX M60 shows the following performance:

-    Outstanding pigment suspension effect without affecting viscosity (it works also in a diluted system with low viscosity for spray application)
-    Prevent caking in cans/tanks
-    Enhance sag and run-off control with good leveling
