Sublimatic paper
Surface treatments for top quality sublimation printings
Sublimation is a printing technique that is becoming more and more poular. It is a form of digital printing that requires the use of specific paper grades that shows very good printability and that later on will grant a very good transfer of the printing during the sublimation process.
Sublimation is a physical process where a solid turns immediately into a gas without passing through the liquid stage. In sublimatic printing it is the dye that shows this specific behavior. The opposite transition is called deposition and it happens when a gas turns into solid.
The sublimation printing is a process where water based inks are printed over paper; after that paper is coupled with fabric and thanks to heat and pressure exposure printed ink sublimate penetrating into the fabric bonding permanently on the fibers. The final result is top quality printing with high definition.
We have developed, under the name CELLCOATE, our range of surface treatments mainly based on natural polymers that grant very high performance. Our set of solutions is completed with ESACOTE® PU, our range of waterborne polyurethane dispersions, that might be used in combination with CELLCOATE for fine tuning and enhancing performance
